This House was built in the 60’s, Super Heavy Wood Door over in Mtn Brook. Torsion springs are generally mounted above the door and fastened together with appropriate hardware. This is anchored into what we call a center pad. 2x6 is min dimension lumber to be used. Notice how those massive springs and shaft madde there way outside the door.
