Collections
Polystyrene is rigid foam board fitted between the door's layers. Polyurethane is foam injected into the door, filling every gap, so it insulates better, makes the door stronger and cuts noise. R-value measures how well the insulation resists heat flow: the higher, the better.
The lower the gauge number, the thicker and stronger the steel: 24-gauge is thicker than 27-gauge. A door with steel on both sides of an insulated core is stronger than a single steel skin.

Each maker warrants its own door and parts. Our Limited Warranty Program covers defects in our installation workmanship for as long as the manufacturer's warranty on the door lasts. The program page has the full terms.
If your opener is getting old, it makes sense to replace it with the door. Belt drives are the quietest, chain drives suit heavy doors, and wall-mount openers sit beside the door instead of on the ceiling.

A new door is a big purchase, and not every old door needs replacing. If the problem is a spring, a cable, the opener or one damaged panel, we'll tell you, and fix that instead.
When a new door does make sense, we'll go over the options with you and give you honest pricing with no hidden fees.

It depends on the door and what's wrong with it. A broken spring, a worn cable, an opener problem or one dented panel can usually be fixed. If several panels are damaged, or the door is older and replacement sections can't be matched, a new door may be the better value. We'll look at it and tell you straight.

R-value measures how well the door's insulation resists heat flow. The higher the number, the better the door insulates. It matters most when the garage is attached to the house or you spend time in it.
Most standard installations take half a day to a full day; complex or custom doors can take longer. We'll tell you what to expect when we measure.

Not always. Some newer openers, like Chamberlain's Security+ 3.0 models, don't work with older Security+ 2.0 remotes. We'll program your remotes when we install the opener.
